Mobile phone marketplace Mozillion hits 25,000 members as more UK shoppers embrace buying and selling refurbished phones.
London, UK – 15 December 2022: With over half of British people saying they would welcome a pre-loved present this Christmas* and 73% who would consider a refurbished phone to save money**, Mozillion has seen a surge in customers signing up to their marketplace platform this Christmas season to either buy a refurbished phone or sell their old one.
Mozillion allow some new phones to be sold on the marketplace too but despite this, a huge 92% of Mozillion shoppers chose to buy a refurbished phone on Black Friday thanks to the substantial cost-savings to be had on their Christmas shopping, and people rapidly realising how buying refurbished products can help the planet.
The focus for the business over the last 12 months has been on building trust and enhancing the customer experience to help consumers gain more confidence in buying refurbished phones, and then selling their own phone, in a safe and secure way.
Unlike a traditional online marketplace, Mozillion have added a retail-wrapper around the marketplace model by inspecting, data-wiping, validating and testing every phone that sellers sell on the site, before it is sent onto the buyer. They then give every refurbished phone a 2 year guarantee and manage all aftersales and customer service on behalf of the seller. The seller gets more money on average for their phone and the buyer gets a phone they know has been tested, guaranteed and only contains original parts.
The team have also made it easier and safer for marketplace users by removing the need for traditional buyer and seller profiles, so both parties only need to ever speak to or deal with Mozillion when it comes to ensuring they get paid, providing a delivery address, receiving their order or if they need some aftersales support.
It’s free to sign up as a buyer or seller on Mozillion, and with members now at 25,000, it’s evolved into a trusted and exciting online platform to buy a phone, with more phones being added for sale daily.
