How To Factory Data Reset a Samsung Galaxy Phone 15/04/24

Here’s how to factory data reset your Samsung phone. Warning: this will erase all data and settings.

Follow these steps or watch our helpful video below.

  1. On the home screen swipe down once to get to the notification panel, when there click the gear icon to head to settings.

  2. Scroll down until you see the general management tab, tap that.

  3. Scroll down again until you see reset, tap that and scroll down to the bottom where you’ll see several reset options.

  4. We want to factory data reset so tap that and you’ll see a list of the data currently on the device.

  5. Enter your PIN and then press delete all.

  6. You may at this point need to also enter a Samsung password.

  7. Your phone will then shut down and wipe the device – this may take a few minutes.

  8. Once it’s rebooted and you’re at the start screen, you’ve successfully factory data reset your phone.
