Can I keep my current phone number when joining Mozillion?

Of course. When you decide to switch to Mozillion, ask for a PAC from your current provider by texting PAC to 65075. The code will be valid for 30 days and can be entered during the ordering process by ticking the option to keep your old number.  If you prefer, you can do this later.

If your contract with your previous provider has already been cancelled, it will be up to your old provider to allow you to transfer the phone number when possible.

If you decide to not transfer you current phone number to Mozillion, we will issue you with a new mobile number.

If you did not request to transfer your number over when you ordered but decide later that you would like to, you can transfer your old number over once you have received your order by following the below steps:

SIM only customers that ordered after 21 March 2025

If you decide to transfer your number later after you have placed or received your order and you ordered a SIM Only plan AFTER 21 March 2025 you can login to https://live.mozillion.com/login and request to transfer your number within your Dashboard by going to Manage Plan.

SIM only customers that ordered before 21 March 2025 or all Pay Monthly Phone Contract customers

If you ordered a SIM Only plan online BEFORE 21 March 2025 or you ordered a Pay Monthly Phone Contract at any time, and you want to transfer your number over after you have placed your order, you will need to use the Contact Us form to request a number transfer.

 

What is a PAC code?

A PAC (Porting Authority Code) is a unique code linked to your phone number that lets you take your mobile number with you when you switch providers. Your old network will give you your PAC and you give it to your new provider. This instructs both providers to move your mobile number from your old provider to your new provider.

PACs are valid for 30 days so if they expire you will have to request a new one from your provider.

 

How long does it take to transfer my mobile number?

It usually takes 1-2 working days (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) from when the transfer is requested but can occasionally take longer. Numbers aren’t transferred on weekends or bank holidays.

 

I’m an iPhone user, my port has completed but my temporary number is still showing on my phone for texts and calls?

Sometimes after a number transfer has completed, some Apple iPhones don’t update their settings with the number that has ben transferred – this can affect things like texting, iMessage or Facetime.

Turning the phone off and one or putting it in and out of Airplane mode sometimes resolves this, otherwise you may need to reset your Network Settings on the phone.  To do this, follow these steps:

1. If you haven’t already, verify that you are the owner of the number by adding it to your Apple ID security info:

– Go to Settings > [your name] > Sign-in & Security.
– Go to Email & Phone Numbers, press ‘Edit’.
– Press ‘Add email or phone number’.
– Choose ‘Add a Phone Number’.
– Follow prompts to add the number and verify it by SMS or call.

2. Reset network settings:

– Go to Settings > General > Transfer or Reset iPhone > Reset > Reset Network Settings.
– Enter passcode.
– Wait for phone to restart.
– Once restarted, your new number should show up in Settings > Phone > My Number.
