Samsung officially confirm launch date.

Rumours have been floating around for the last few months but we were all expecting Samsung to confirm the Galaxy S23 series announcement for some time around February and March, as is so often the case.

Well now it’s official as Samsung have confirmed the date for the big reveal will be Wednesday February 1, at their first Galaxy Unpacked event of 2023.

At the event, Samsung is expected to unveil their latest flagship range of phones which will include the Galaxy S23, Galaxy S23 Plus and the stylus-supporting Galaxy S23 Ultra.

The Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra was one of our favourite phones of 2022 thanks to its impressive camera, stunning display and S-Pen stylus support for note taking.

Whilst all three phone models are likely to see the usual annual bump in specifications for features like battery life, speed and display; going by the teaser invite, it’s the camera features that will be the highlight of the launch.

There are rumours that we’ll see a 200-megapixel camera sensor in the S23 Ultra.

The event will be live streamed on Samsung’s website and its official YouTube channel.

Pre-orders for the new models could start as soon as February 1, with the official release date being later in the month.
