Samsung has officially confirmed that the Galaxy S26 series will debut on February 25, 2026, at its Galaxy Unpacked event. The lineup is expected to include the Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26+, and the flagship Galaxy S26 Ultra. The new devices are tipped to go on sale globally starting in March.
AI Features Take Centre Stage
Artificial intelligence is expected to be a major focus this year. Samsung is likely to expand its Gemini-powered tools and Galaxy AI features, with greater emphasis on on-device processing for improved performance, privacy, and real-time functionality.
Display and Design Upgrades
The Galaxy S26 Ultra is rumoured to feature Samsung’s new M14 OLED display panel. The screen is expected to deliver brighter output and improved power efficiency, along with the return of the anti-reflective coating.
Design refinements could make the device slightly thinner and lighter, although the camera module may appear more prominent due to hardware enhancements.
Performance and Software
Under the hood, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB of RAM.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S26 and S26+ could use Samsung’s Exynos 2600 processor in select markets, with up to 12GB RAM. All models are likely to ship with One UI 8.5, with a One UI 9.0 update expected later in the year.
Camera and Battery
Samsung is expected to retain the 200MP primary camera on the Galaxy S26 Ultra. The quad-camera system may also include a 50MP telephoto lens and a 50MP ultra-wide sensor.
The device is likely to pack a 5,000mAh battery once again, but charging speeds could see an upgrade to 60W wired fast charging.
With the launch just weeks away, all eyes are now on February 25 to see what Samsung brings to its flagship lineup in 2026.
