The Google Pixel 8 Pro launched as Google’s top-tier Android device in its generation, offering advanced AI features, improved cameras, and a premium display. Three years in, it still holds up well, particularly for photography and software longevity, but it has some compromises. It does not match today’s flagships in raw speed or battery endurance, and the 30-watt charging feels slow compared to competitors. For users who value clean Android, long-term support, and thoughtful AI features, it is still a solid option.

Charging performance is similarly strong. The Pixel 8 Pro reaches half a charge in around thirty minutes and completes a full charge in about one hour and thirty-one minutes. The Pixel 8 finishes slightly faster at around one hour and twelve minutes, while the Pixel 9 takes roughly one hour and thirty-nine minutes.

Overall, the Pixel 8 Pro offers the best balance of battery life and charging speed, making it the most reliable option for long days of use.
