Introducing the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6

If you are looking for a smartphone with standout, look no further than the foldable Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6.

With its impressive 6.7 inch Full High Definition inner screen which clamshells in half to reveal a 3.4 inch AMOLED inner display, it is like something out of a sci-fi movie.

This is the sixth generation of this foldable smartphone and with each generation, Samsung improves its design, features, artificial intelligence and tech.

Design

Samsung has two foldable phones - the Z Fold and the Z Flip. The Z Flip here is the one that adopts the clamshell-style design by folding vertically with a mini screen on the front.

It is a feat of engineering to get the two halves of the phone folding to sit snugly together but Samsung have managed it. The fact that it folds flat to protect the inner screen adds to its durability.

The Z Flip6 has an IP48 rating which gives it increased water and dust protection compared to the previous generations. New colours and a glass back give the smartphone a stunning look and feel.

Another nice touch is the colourful camera surround depending on which colour phone you choose.

Camera

Getting the perfect selfie is much more straightforward when you have a phone that can stand up on its own. Put the Galaxy ZFlip 6 in Flex Mode and capture hands-free selfies, record dance moves and never worry about your phone falling off its makeshift tripod ever again.

Processor

The Galaxy Z Flip6 is one of the fastest Android phones you can currently buy. It boasts the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy under the hood, the same as its Galaxy S24 siblings.

The Z Flip6 is supported with 7 years of updates from Samsung, versus 4 years on the Z Flip5.

Battery

The battery size has increased by 10% from the Z Flip5 to the Z Flip6, going from 3,700mAh to 4,000mAh, with no added weight.

Due to the phone's unique design, it houses two smaller batteries, one in each half, instead of a single large one.

The new, more efficient processor further extends battery life. The charging rate remains the same as its predecessor at 25W with 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.
