Travel eSIM Help

Need help with your Mozillion Travel eSIM? You're in the right place.

Which mobile phones are eSIM compatible?

Can your phone use an eSIM? This guide will tell you.

If you're wondering if your phone supports eSIM, you've come to right place. Here is a list of every phone model that currently supports eSIM.

We update this list every month.

What is an eSIM?

An eSIM (embedded SIM) is similar to a traditional plastic SIM card that you may have in your phone now, except it is a digital version installed onto your phone — you then use it as normal to use your mobile plan from your network provider. Many phone manufacturers now make their phones eSIM compatible, but not all.

Select your device and follow the prompts to resolve any connectivity issue with your Travel eSIM profile.

iPhone (iOS) troubleshooting

Your troubleshooting guide to setting up your Mozillion Travel eSIM on iPhone (iOS).

  1. Check eSIM profile installation

Go to: Settings > Mobile Data > under Data Plans: the installed eSIM profile will appear as “Secondary” (or the name you renamed it). If your eSIM profile is already installed, go to step 2. If no eSIM is installed yet, go to Get started and follow instructions for your device. If you deleted your eSIM profile, please follow instructions on this link.
  2. Check eSIM profile activation

Check if your eSIM profile is installed on your iPhone. Go to: Settings > Mobile Data > under Data Plans, select the installed eSIM profile (or “secondary” or the name you renamed it). Activate the profile by pressing the button Turn On This Line on the right.
As soon as your profile is installed, a double network signal will appear at the top of your screen. NB: the double network only appears if you have also a physical SIM card/eSIM profile for voice & SMS installed on your device. If there is no physical SIM card installed, only the stepped bars network will be displayed.
  3. Apply data to eSIM profile

Cellular Data must be applied to the Mozillion Travel eSIM profile to access the Internet. To do that, go to: Settings > Mobile Data > Mobile Data again, select Secondary: the tick will appear in front of it when it is selected.
Important: When you have multiple SIM cards/eSIM profiles on your iPhone, it is not possible to activate cellular data on two data plans at the same time. You can only apply it to one at a time.
  4. Check APN configuration

Now ensure that the Data roaming option to this line is activated. Go to: Settings > Mobile Data > under Data plans, select the installed eSIM profile > Activate Data Roaming. It will appear as “secondary” or under the name you renamed it. Then, in the same screen, select Mobile Data Network in order to configure the APN (Access Point Name). In the APN field, make sure that mbb is specified. If not, type it in the field.
NB: The Data roaming option is now activated only for your Mozillion Travel eSIM profile. This means that you won't have extra roaming costs as only Mozillion Travel eSIM rates will be applied while using the Mozillion Travel eSIM cellular connectivity.
  5. Check network display

Display the networks/shortcuts page by sliding from the top right hand corner of your screen to the center. Turn ONflight mode” for 5 seconds and turn it OFF. This action will refresh the network connection from your device. Once Flight mode is off, you will see 1 or 2 networks appear: the network at the top is always the eSIM/SIM card you applied data to — following previous steps, this must be your Mozillion Travel eSIM network.
NB: If no network bar is displayed yet, please contact Customer Support for further help and provide the ICCID of your eSIM profile (Settings > General > Information > ICCID).
Android troubleshooting

Your troubleshooting guide to setting up your Mozillion Travel eSIM on Android.

  1. Check eSIM profile installation

Go to: Settings > Connections > under SIM Card Manager > under eSIMs: you'll see there the installed eSIM profile appear. If your eSIM profile is already installed, go to step 2. If no eSIM is installed yet, go to Get started and follow instructions for your device. If you deleted your eSIM profile, please follow instructions on this link.
  2. Check eSIM profile activation

Then, you need now to check if your eSIM profile is activated on your device. Go to: Settings > Connections > under eSIMs, select the installed eSIM profile (it will appear as “eSIM1, eSIM2,…” or under the name you renamed it). Activate the profile by pressing the button on the right to turn it on (it will turn blue).
As soon as your profile is activated, a double network signal will appear at the top of your screen. NB: the double network only appears if you also have a physical SIM card installed on your device.
  3. Apply data to eSIM profile

Mobile Data has to be applied to the Mozillion Travel eSIM profile to access the Internet. To do that, go to: Settings > Connections > SIM Card Manager. Under “Preferred SIM cards”, tap on Mobile Data and select the eSIM profile you want to apply data to. The tick will appear in front of it when it is selected.
Important: When you have multiple SIM cards/eSIMs (“plans”) on your device, it is not possible to activate cellular data on two data plans at the same time. You can only apply it to one at a time.
  4. Check APN configuration

Now ensure that the Data roaming option is activated on your device. Once you made sure you have applied mobile data to your Mozillion Travel eSIM profile, go to: Settings > Connections > Mobile Networks > Activate Data Roaming. In the same screen, select Access Point Names in order to check if the APN (Access Point Name) is set: the APN is normally set automatically — mobiledata or mbb will appear in the list. In this case, you can go to the next step.
Important: if you have carefully followed previous steps, mobile data must be applied to your Mozillion Travel eSIM profile (and NOT to your physical SIM card if you have one). This means that you won't have extra roaming costs as only Mozillion Travel eSIM rates will be applied while using the Travel eSIM. In any case, always ensure that mobile data is applied to your Mozillion Travel eSIM profile to avoid extra roaming costs while abroad.
  5. Check network display

Turn ONflight mode” for 5 seconds and turn it OFF. This action will refresh the network connection from your device. (NB: to access the flight mode button, display the shortcuts page by sliding from the top of your screen to the bottom.) Once flight mode is off, you will normally see 1 or 2 networks appear: the network with the 4G/5G at the front is always the eSIM/SIM card you applied data to. If you have between 1 to full signal bars, it means that you are connected to the network.
NB: In case you still have no network bars displayed even after the manual selection, please contact our Customer Support for further help and provide the ICCID of your eSIM profile.

A single Mozillion Travel e-SIM installed on your device will allow you to connect in all countries listed on our Travel e-SIM page. After choosing the data plan for your travel destination and completing your purchase, install your Mozillion Travel e-SIM and enjoy connectivity.

I have multiple data plans on my account. How do I switch from one plan to another when I change countries?

The switch between different plans happens automatically when you move from one country to another. Your Mozillion Travel e-SIM automatically connects to the local network and activates the plan purchased for that country.

For example, traveling from Spain to Germany: data will be deducted from the Spain plan while in Spain, and automatically from the Germany plan once you arrive in Germany.
