Can I keep my current phone number when joining Mozillion?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Yes. When you decide to switch to Mozillion, ask for a PAC<\/strong> from your current provider by texting PAC<\/strong> to 65075<\/strong>. The code will be valid for 30 days and can be entered during the ordering process by ticking the option to keep your old number.<\/p>\n

If you prefer, you can do this later once you have received your Mozillion SIM.<\/p>\n

If your contract with your previous provider has already been cancelled, it will be up to your old provider to allow you to transfer the phone number when possible.<\/p>\n

All Mozillion SIMs come with a temporary\/new number which can be used until the number transfer completes – or if you decide to not transfer an existing phone number to Mozillion, you can choose to keep the new number.<\/p>\n

If you decide to transfer your number later after you have received your order, you can simply login to mozillion.com\/login<\/strong><\/a> and request to transfer your number within your Dashboard by going to Edit<\/strong>\u00a0My Plan<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

You will need to enter the number you want to transfer to Mozillion and a valid PAC code from your old provider. You can also choose the date you’d like the transfer to take place.\u00a0 Please note, number transfers do not happen on weekends or bank holidays.<\/p>\n

What is a PAC code?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

A PAC (Porting Authority Code<\/strong>) is a unique code linked to your phone number that lets you take your mobile number with you when you switch providers. Your old network will give you your PAC and you give it to your new provider. This instructs both providers to move your mobile number from your old provider to your new provider.<\/p>\n

PACs are valid for 30 days so if they expire you will have to request a new one from your provider.\u00a0 You can do this by texting the word PAC<\/strong> to 65075<\/strong> from the number you want the PAC code for.<\/p>\n

How long does it take to transfer my mobile number?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

It usually takes 1-2 working days (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) from when the transfer is requested but can occasionally take longer. Numbers aren’t transferred on weekends or bank holidays.<\/p>\n

I’m an iPhone user, my port has completed but my temporary number is still showing on my phone for texts and calls?<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Sometimes after a number transfer has completed, some Apple iPhones don’t update their settings with the number that has ben transferred – this can affect things like texting, iMessage or Facetime.<\/p>\n

Turning the phone off and one or putting it in and out of Airplane mode sometimes resolves this, otherwise you may need to reset your Network Settings on the phone.\u00a0 To do this, follow these steps:<\/p>\n

1. If you haven’t already, verify that you are the owner of the number by adding it to your Apple ID security info:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Go to Settings > [your name]<\/strong> > Sign-in & Security<\/strong>.
– Go to Email & Phone Numbers<\/strong>, press ‘Edit<\/strong>‘.
– Press ‘Add email or phone number<\/strong>‘.
– Choose ‘Add a Phone Number<\/strong>‘.
– Follow prompts to add the number and verify it by SMS or call.<\/p>\n

2. Reset network settings:<\/strong><\/p>\n

– Go to Settings<\/strong> > General<\/strong> > Transfer<\/strong> or Reset iPhone<\/strong> > Reset<\/strong> > Reset Network Settings<\/strong>.
– Enter passcode.
– Wait for phone to restart.
– Once restarted, your new number should show up in Settings<\/strong> > Phone<\/strong> > My Number<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
