Why buy an Apple iPad Pro 11 inch 2022?

M2 superfast processor
All day battery life
LiDAR scanner

Introduction

The iPad Pro 2022 is basically the ultimate iPad experience. With its 8 core CPU which delivers up to 15% faster performance and a 10 core GPU that provides up to 35% faster graphics performance, you are looking at style and substance poetically intertwined. Pro accessories are also available including Apple Pencil, Magic Keyboard and the Smart Keyboard Folio opening up even more ways to use iPad Pro. The LiDAR scanner also opens up the world of AR immersive experiences for the user. Simply mind-blowing on every level.

Design

Elegant and light, the iPad Pro 2022 packs a lot of power and possibilities into a remarkable light and thin chassis. All the Pro models from Apple are as effortlessly cool as you would expect and the iPad Pro 2022 is no exception to this rule. The large surface area makes it feel sleek in the hands and the fit and finish is faultless. A joy to behold.

Display

The iPad Pro 2022 offers its users 1600 nits peak HDR brightness and 1000 nits full screen brightness which means it is fully visible on even the sunniest of days and shows off content just as it was intended to be viewed.

Its incredible resolution also makes it the perfect gaming screen and the action never smears. Apple refers to the display as XDR which implies that it is even more X-treme than an HDR (high dynamic range) screen which is entirely accurate, especially in comparison to other tablets or the vast majority of laptops. This is never more evident than when watching Dolby Vision HDR as movies get an extra dimension from the fact that the iPad can render such a wide dynamic range. This level of intensity is available with an app with Affinity Photo offering a brightness almost like no other screen on the planet.

Camera

As you would expect, the pro-grade cameras on the iPad Pro 2022 are astonishingly good. Plus the LiDAR scanner opens up new opportunities in photography, augmented reality and videography. The M2 chipset is so powerful that it is possible to capture and work on huge RAW multi-layered images in Serif Affinity Photo while asking LimaFusion to deal with multiple tracks of 4K video with colour changes applied. Even with 8K images, filters applied are instant.

There is a 12MP wide-angle camera on the rear plus a 10MP ultra-wide which, when paired with the LiDAR sensor can be used for 3D scanning. The Center Stage feature means that the camera follows you when making video calls which is intuitive and it adjusts automatically if there is more than one person in view.

Video

As mentioned above, the LiDAR scanner adds a new dimension to all videography as does the ProRes video capture. The rear camera is capable of 4K 60fps video and the front camera offers 1080p HD video quality.

Processor

The M2 is quite literally a beast of a chipset. It includes an eight-core CPU, featuring four high-speed performance cores and four energy-efficient cores. Paired with 8GB of RAM in the 128GB, 256GB or 512GB versions, and 16GB of RAM in the 1TB or 2TB versions. There is also a 10-core GPU that can access all that memory as its own, with a colossal 100GB/s of memory bandwidth. This is basically a ridiculous amount of power and it is almost a miracle that it is squeezed into a tablet.

The 5G support in the cellular model can reach hundreds of megabits per second and the Wi-Fi 6E is a nice touch.

Battery

Apple was not stingy when it contemplated which battery should be included with the most impressive tablet on the planet. Depending on usage, the iPad Pro 2022 boasts an all day battery life. However, if you are pushing the processor to the max, you can still expect 8 - 10 hours and there are a plethora of inbuilt tools to help the battery even last longer.

Colours & Options

The iPad 2022 Pro is available in Space Grey or Silver. Storage options are 128GB, 256GB, 512GB 1TB and 2TB.
